Hi, Cary Ellis here, outdoors on a beautiful Rocky Mountain spring day competing with the birds. I have so many people these days ask what foods support the immune system, what's a good immune system diet? One of my favorite answers is something we should never be without in our everyday routine is garlic and onions.
Some don't like onions and garlic raw or you may. Have them the way you like them. If it takes sautéing them to enjoy, or cooking them with another food, do it. Throw some garlic and onions in just about any dish for boosting your immune system.
I absolutely love garlic in so many things; one of my favorite places is in my soup recipes in my Super Immunity Secrets cookbook (amazon.com paperback and Kindle). Also find FREE videos of my soup recipes on my youtube channels http://www.youtube.com/caryellis489 http://www.youtube.com/caryellislifestyle http://www.youtube.com/gethealthynowshow and at my site http://www.caryellis.com They are also featured on http://www.ifood.tv

There are so many kinds of onions, green onions, and scallions, leeks, red onions, white onions, yellow onions even shallots are of the onion family. So I love adding green onions to my salad and to just about anything that I cook or sauté.
One of my favorite meals is sautéed cabbage with onions, olive oil and garlic.(also in my cookbook) Just so yummy! There are awesome herbs - oregano, dill weed, and really spice it up with super immunity herbs such as garlic on an everyday basis. Garlic and onions both have an element called "allicin" in them which is very similar to penicillin like having a dose of penicillin in your food - very immune protective to help prevent colds and flu and protect us when others around us are sick.
So easy to include it fits any budget. You'll find many recipes at my site http://www.caryellis.com/free-resources with lots of recipes there as well. So join me and let's get healthy together!
