The RT-PCR assay was the only assay of the 3 used to screen the later xenografts. The later xenografts were never assessed to see if they came from the same prostate cancer patient as the other xenografts and cells. The 67% found positive in Lombardi et al. and the 87% in Lo et al. was achieved with an RT-PCR assay.
