@linimo87 specifically to thank Him. i tell Him my concerns. i ask Him for specific Help. i pray for others and ask for blessing for them. i give Him my raw emotions. if i am ticked off, i tell Him, trusting in His Grace to accept me and Help me through that emotion. i tell Him to keep Helping me every day. sometimes i even tell Him i dont want to talk with Him when im really afraid or having a momentary meltdown. He understands me! He hears my heart, not just my words.

@linimo87 and when we pray to Jesus, we know we are praying to the Messiah, to Christ, Emmanuel, the Savior of the world, calling Him by His personal human (Hebrew) name ('Joshua' in english). it is good with God to be personal once He is our Savior! that is exactly why Jesus Christ came. to redeem, and get personal.

@linimo87 the Word. not "the Bible" but the Living Word of Life. Jesus exhorts us to look for Him IN the scriptures (sorry i dont know that verse right now but it is a verse from Christ). He is to be found IN the God-breathed scriptures. so if He is in the scriptures, and TELLS us He is, why would "the Bible" imply or tell to not pray to Christ, only God? the Word IS God! it is Christ! it is Life. He's making it more personal for me and Him. i dont know if i am helping. but this is a snapshot of my dialogue with the Lord. i call Him by how i know Him and by seeing who He is in scripture. the Bible is not always explicit in words on what we need to know. for example, you are saying uh oh, the Bible didnt tell me i could pray to Jesus. this might be you or it might be the enemy. the Bible would never tell us we cant pray to
