The epitome of the West - the classic Montana Ranch -- expansive, private, mountainous, and full of horses, cattle, wildlife and cowboy and indian history. The Horse Prairie Ranch is one of Montana¡¯s historic reputation ranches, acclaimed by USA Today as one of the 10 Best Places to be a Cowboy. It¡¯s over 30,000¡À acres of combined deeded (8,281¡À acres) and leased (22,439¡À acres) lands lie in one private block in a mountain valley surrounded by other large cattle ranches, forested mountains and thousands and thousands of acres of public lands. Aspen lined streams emanating from the adjoining evergreen forest course for miles through the ranch¡¯s grass, sage and irrigated haylands. Horses, cattle, elk, deer and antelope dot the landscape. The panorama stretches for 30 miles to the tops of surrounding mountain ranges and night reveals only a handful of neighboring lights under a canopy of brilliant stars. Privacy is assured, yet the cow-town center of southwest Montana, Dillon, is within 45 minutes. The Horse Prairie Ranch is unique in its setting with headquarters located in the center of the ranch and the private owner and guest cabins located next to USFS lands in the upper reaches of the ranch.

  • @kpwills Your commit is interesting to me as you spoke about ministering to God's people. I am assuming you are a christian, as am I. I lived in Dillon for many years and my step dad ran a ranch there. My heart is to minister the Love of Jesus in a ranch setting also. I currently live in Idaho Falls but my Mom and Step dad still live in Dillon. This is a beautful ranch and I will pray that the Lord will provide your family the ability to own this Ranch if it is His will. God Bless

  • And I keep watching this and would LOVE to meet Mrs. Duncan! I am so drawn to these people and wonder how many kids . . . and at what age are they . . . and did they raise their children there??

  • I am in love with this family, the heart and motives of Mr. Duncan. Interestingly enough, my husband too has a web based document mgt. company, and we too started it with the God given dream of owning a horse farm where we could raise our four children and minister to God's people in the environment of our Creator. Oh, that we had the resources to purchase, live and care for Horse Prairie Ranch. I will pray, if it is not us that God has chosen to take responsibility of stewardship, He knows best
