[RECOMMEND LISTENING ON HEADPHONES AT FULL VOLUME] A rare performance of Bernard Hoffer's 'Elegy: Nine Eleven' for tenor saxophone and band (2002) given by Guest Soloist Professor Paul Cohen with the Princeton Brass Band conducted by Dr. Stephen Arthur Allen on the tenth anniversary of 9/11 at a concert 'Reflections on 9/11' at 2pm in the newly restored Bart Luedeke Theater at Rider University, NJ, USA, Sunday September 11th 2011. This was the first event in the new theater and an audience of some 225 were in attendance including the composer. This performance is part of the Princeton Brass Band's promotion of original music by American Composers .
(The program also included 'Fanfare for the Common Man' (Aaron Copland arr. Howard Snell); Partita (Edward Gregson); The Day Thou Gavest (arr. Wilby); 'Elegy: Nine Eleven'; Amazing Grace (Trad. arr. William Himes); America the Beautiful (Carmen Dragon arr. Mark Freeh) and Eric Ball's 'Resurgam (I Shall Rise Again)').
