http://rehearsaltheapp.com/ OK, people! 5 minutes to rehearsal! 5 minutes! Take this really fast tour of the amazing new iPhone app called Rehearsal.

Created by LA actor and voice talent David H. Lawrence, XVII, Rehearsal is for actors everywhere who want to learn lines for auditions and performance, explore their characters and get off-book quickly. You can:

- highlight your lines
- record and rehearse your scenes
- hide your lines and peek at them if you need prompting
- add comments, or "notes in the margins"
- record yourself with different approaches to your lines
- add beat marks
- record MP3 VO auditions and email them to casting directors
- works perfectly on the iPad and iPod Touch
...and so much more.

You'll find Rehearsal in the Apple iTunes App Store. You can download it for free, and have unlimited use of its features for 30 days, by going to http://rehearsaltheapp.com/download - enjoy.

  • Thank you 'five'!

Oh, sorry, that reaction's been ingrained in me...

    Make this for Android!

  • @richgilb Making this type of app for the Android operating system is something we're looking at. Hopefully, the iPhone community will support this version and help fund other versions!

  • That app seems handy but i'm worried about the interface about the highlight interface. It seems a little messy. Overall it looks incredibly useful and when the iPad comes out make a big desktop version for it.

  • It's actually really great - it's just as messy (or neat) as you are in real life. With my lines, I did the back-and-forth swipe - with the other lines, I did a left-right, left-right line-by-line swipe, and the highlighting looks exactly the way it does when I highlight paper scripts.
