Canine, Jack Russell Terrier, 7Y
Hx: Breathing heavy, increased respiratory effort for the last 2 days, lethargic CHEM (GLOB=2.2, ALT=11.7, AMYL=445) CBC (MVC=77.1) Cardiomegaly seen on rads.
Echo Report - The echocardiogram shows a smaller left ventricular chamber, collapse of the right atrium and ventricle consistent with tamponade, a moderate volume of pericardial effusion and a mass at the base of the heart with an episode of heart failure. The condition appears hemodynamically significant with the collapse of the right side of the heart as well as the signs of heart failure and this is the most likely source of the clinical signs noted.
