the contents of the pond filter. Water comes in from the pond, circulates in a filter with several thousand plastic forks, fish, snails, shrimp, and plants.

  • Plastic forks as bio media? Seems like a pretty low surface are compared to a porous material like lava rock or Bioballs....

  • @treldib2 plastic forks are cheaper and don't clog, don't break down over time.

  • Cool use of plastic forks. What kind of fish are they? Does this work as good filter? - (are your fish happy and your water pretty clear.) The filter water sure looks good.

  • i wouldn't use water hyaninth because they depleate the oxygen in the water that the bacteria use.
