On our most recent vacation, we didn't bring both a still camera and a video camera. We let our Canon DSLR's do double duty. Here are the results. We were very happy... other than the way it looks when played on a CRT TV. (The horse riding scene was shot with a very cheap Casio camera because of the water.)

  • Dear All,

I have a question about psychology:

*Why do we want to build a moving vehicle (sea curise and A380) so big with so many facilities?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!!

P.S. I was in the Legend of the Sea in this Chinese new year.

  • @applesweeter Wow, that's a good question. I've never thought of that, but I'd imagine it's just a marketing race between Royal Caribbean, Carnival, NCL, etc. They have to have the biggest and best so they can advertise they've got the biggest and best to potential cruisers. And potential cruisers demand bigger and better so each of their vacations is better than the last. Just a guess...

  • Thanks for uploading this slick video compilation. We're going on Freedom (Eastern) in June, and I'm still trying to decide on whether to do video, still photos, or both. Leaning towards at least doing some video this time around, if not exclusively. And hoping to be able to do HD too--thanks for the good ideas.

  • @jpryor223 I'm so thankful that today's DSLRs record good video too. For me, I wouldn't imagine going on a vacation without getting both still shots and video. Now, I don't have to take along two devices. For the professional, you can beat an EOS 5D Mark II. For the enthusiast, the Ti2 is the way to go -- much lighter and still does good video. It was even light enough for me to take with me down a zip line.

  • This Video is absolutely amazing. I had bought a cheap JVC digital camcorder specifically for size, but it in no way compares to this. My wife and I went on a Carnival ship in February 2010, and loved it.....now if only we had your camera.

By the way, what are the music pieces you are using in your video?

  • @chappyk35 Thanks so much! The music is from Digital Juice. They have some pretty good music libraries.

  • Wow just wow looks like a good time

  • My favorite part of your film was the wacky-wailing-arm-flailing-inflatable-tubemen, you know the ones on the promenade. Fun!

  • World's most epic zip line!

  • Thank you for your entertaining video, you goofyness made me laugh! I was just on the Freedom from 9/26/10 to 10/3/10. It was my 3rd cruise on RCCL and 4th cruise total. I miss her!!! Can't wait till the next one! Untill then I will have to pacify myself by watching videos :)

  • Excellent video. Good job with the editing as well
