  • I am building the Guillow's Cub also but I built the tail surfaces by bending 1/16" square, used lighter wood in the wing, and left a few pieces out. I had built the Cessna 180 that is very similiar and it came out too heavy. I have a video of it flying on my YouTube channel.

  • @Pilotsofer just take your time and be very patient. I made a balsa wood p38 lightning from scratch a couple of days ago. Also dont start with something huge that will take alot of skill, remember, bigger is sometimes not better. Hope this helps. :) good luck

  • I've tried to build so many of these models and for some reason I can't really do it. I can build all the parts but when it comes to putting them together It is impossible for me to do it. I wish I was like you.

  • Great building tip. I never thought of doing that. This technique could also be used to reduce the models weight.

    Thanks for showing
