why is it that all dance instructors have their own versions on MJ dances, any other dance is right on it but MJ dances...
Is it cause hes really hard to imitate or what?

@MassiveMegaManiac
For me specifically, I'm against blatant plagiarism and a legend like MJ deserves the utmost respect. So mimicking him and imitating him are both a complement to him and his work. But plagiarism is straight disrespectful. But I can only speak for myself as an instructor and choreographer.

@datssosexy I thought that imitating is the highest form of flattery?

@ladycorinthia It most certainly is, but plagiarize is something different. Plagiarism - take (the work or idea of someone else) and pass it off as one's own. Imitate - take or follow as a model: his style was imitated by many others.

@MassiveMegaManiac If you want the original choreography, just watch the video, right? This is obviously SUPPOSED to be new choreography

@choreograffiti1 You're right watch the video for the original choreography. And my version of the original choreography is MEANT to simulate the choreographic "style" of the video and add a new approach via varied choreographic ideas and interpretations.
