Kevin Aviance: Hate Crime Survivor

Gender-bending dance music artist Kevin Aviance spoke during the Milwaukee PrideFest 2008 opening ceremonies on the hate crime he survived. Aviance urged audience members to unite against hate violence and encouraged victims to utilize community resources as part of the healing process. Aviance gave special thanks to the New York Anti-Violence Project (avp.org) for their support.
