  • Disc valve induction such as used on the Kawasaki KH125/AR125 is far better than reed valves, as discs are mechanical controlled and therefore, open and close at exactly the right time, whereas reeds rely solely on the crankcase pressure and thus are less precise. The two-strokes I've driven with disc valves give a better powerband and better fuel economy. We have to thank Walter Kaaden for the disc valve and this basically gave two-strokes a position at the top of the league table.

  • @1100HondaCB ahh cool

  • @ThePCguy13 Directly gear driven like the Honda CG125, so no chains, tensioners to worry about.

  • @hankeybillfred Two-strokes respond amazingly to pulse tuning, which is in itself a specific tuning area for two-strokes.

  • @steelmesh The different torque curves are quite interesting.

  • @Anoush13 The two-stroke engine only lightly compresses the air beneath the piston, so this doesn't hinder performance. However, a four-stroke engine has oil in the crankcase so this can cause fluid resistance of the crankshaft, therefore hindering performance, so dry sump lubrication then can be advantageous as the oil is kept separately to the engine and pumped to the various parts as and when needed.

  • @SteezySteez2011 Fuck @sangolt88 lol I agree FUCK ELECTRICS! They're not behind in technology at all, the companies just make them as lightweight as possible because most people that get bikes race or do jumps.

  • Even with GDI Two Stroke engines, the oxygen entering can still leave through the exhaust and not all the excess CO2 leaves through the exhaust. You'll be getting a very unclean burn. Not only does this hurt engine performance, it also is terrible for the environment.

Also, during the down stroke, wouldn't it be harder for the piston to move down, with all that pressurized air blocking it? This is also a major flaw, and hurts engine performance. Plus two strokes burn a lot of engine oil.

  • Failed to mention difference in torque curves between 2-cycle and 4-cycle ICEs. 4 > 2.

  • Eat vmax sho
