While Mark Donohue returned to run only one more Indianapolis 500 after his victory in the 1972 classic, car owner Roger Penske was hooked. He went on to build the greatest legacy in the history of the Memorial Day weekend race. Following in Donohue's footsteps were Tom Sneva, Rick Mears, Al and Bobby Unser and Danny Sullivan. Penske Racing enjoyed the greatest showing by a team in the 1988 classic, when the team put three of its drivers on the front row, and then scored a 1-2-3 sweep in the race after leading 192 of the 200 laps. Johncock won in 1982. It was indeed Penske's 3rd win.

he meant to give penske CARS a sweep of the top 3 because fittipaldi was of course with patrick/ ganassi racing at that point.

Good video - 2 errors though:
* Mears' 84 win was Penske's 4th not 3rd as mentioned - '72, '79, '82, & '84
* Emerson Fittipaldi was mentioned to be 4th Penske driver in '88 and part of a 1-2-3 Penske finish in that race. However, in '88 Emmo was driving a March for Patrick Racing. Emmo & Patrick won the '89 500 in a Penske chassis before Emmo switched to Team Penske in 1990.
Still a good video but maybe a litte too short
