Bill Cowher was the Defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1989 to 1991. The Chiefs were 30-20-1 during that period. It should also be noted that during the start of Cowher's career, legendary linebacker Derrick Thomas from Alabama was selected fourth overall in the 1989 NFL Draft.

Cowher went on to coach the Pittsburgh Steelers for 15 years amassing a 161-99-1 record and two trips to the Super Bowl. The Steelers went on to win the Super Bowl in 2005 but Cowher retired after the 2006 season.

Now Cowher is re-charged and ready to get back to coaching and Kansas City needs him. This is your chance to sound off your voice on the matter.

Cowher has half as many wins as the all-time greatest coach Don Shula. At 51 years old, surely Cowher can become one of the greatest coaches to ever play the game and restore order in a once proud Kansas City Chiefs.

Now that King Carl Peterson has resigned it's time for Kansas City to fire Herm Edwards and find a new General Manager that can work closely with Cowher.

  • Well Herm is fire.. We are officially on the market.. The rumor is Mike Shanahan.. But.. I keep hearing that Bill Cowher bout a house here in KC last week..

  • Just heard on the news that Cowher is officially off the table for next season.. Crap... O well.. we still have a coach right now..

  • hahahaha love the music..please leave herm..im askin you nicely.. wontcha please

  • It is going to take more than that to get rid of him..

  • Herm had a decent team in New York that eventually went down hill thats why he was out there. He inherited a decent team here as well. When we lost to the colts in the playoffs a few years back I thought he should have been fired then based on how he coached that game. Its time to go.

  • Right.. We do have a decent team for the future.. His coaching is another story..

  • I know this was from 2 years ago...but I find it relevant once again!

  • Billings Montana Chief diehard fan.

  • Pittsburgh Sucks! Of course he played for Cleveland first, then coached for Cleveland afterwards!

  • where did u hear that rumor?

  • i sure hope ur right i would love nothing more than that

  • herm is FINALLY fired! Shanahan declined but honestly i want Cowher he will get our defense up to where its supposed to be i mean look at all the young talent. Flowers, Carr, Dorsey, they are all gonna be house held names pretty soon. Pollard is gettin better he still hits hard thats always good i think with enough experience he may be at the level as Brian Dawkins but he will have to work hard and become the leader of the defense and Cowher loves hard hittin safties i mean look at Polumalu

  • Bill Cowher - He has moved to the top of the Chiefs Candidate list at the moment. Per a source he and Scott Pioli will have a face to face very soon - maybe as early as this afternoon. The rumor as we know it is that Cowher has interest in the Chiefs job. What we've been told is that the Chiefs are trying to convince him to speed up his timetable in regards to 2010 to 2009.

  • We Need Cowher

  • this is one of the funniest things ever.. awesome LOVE THE FUCKING CHIEFS ALL DAY

  • i think we should kept herm one more year b/c he knows this team more than anybody else. and if he would have done good, then we keep him, if not then lose him and get cowher b/c he said he would stay retired this year
