My first video on my new piano! Yay :) I got it as a present for my 13th birthday back in July. It's soooo much better than my old one, I feel very lucky to have it!

The piece is from Debussy's children's corner, Golliwog's Cakewalk... it's not perfect, so please give me any advice to improve. I might play it in a recital in December, if my teacher agrees... ;)

Hope you enjoy ...

  • You play this so well! I just started the piece. I have one tip, though--I can hardly hear some parts. I'm sure it sounds better in person, but you might need to play louder when filming so your viewers can hear everything.

    Again, great job =)

  • Thank you so much for your comment :)

I'll try to play louder in my next video ^_^

  • This what YouTube was made for! Awesome video!

  • Thank you, I really appreciate your comment. :)

  • Very well played. You really feel with the piece. Personally, I like this version better than the recital. I can totally understand being nervous at a recital. I'm always nervous when performing, sometimes to the point where I'm wondering whether I'll get the next note right. For me, recital performances don't flow as well as the practice room playing.

Keep it up and hope to get some more videos.

  • Thanks so much! Yes, it's definitely harder for me to play well in recitals... I think I play much better at home when no one is watching me ^_^
