    Dr. Demento was a radio personality who played all sorts of weird music, including this one. It looks to me like the person who made the music video got it confused,

    THIS is a novelty tune by a group called Rose & The Arrangement, which appears on the Dr. Demento 20th Anniversary Album. It's a loving tribute to B-movies, particularly the "giant monster" variety.
