November 2008. The second largest city in Taiwan, Kaohsiung, is home to 1.5m people, and one of the most important container ports in the world.
Approx. 300km south of Taipei / 1.5hr flight east of Hong Kong / 3hr south of Osaka, Kaohsiung is in reasonable distance from major East Asian cities. Tropical weather means it's warm nearly year-around, with much less rain than Taipei.

Thank you for the comments. Actually I made this video for a European friend who used to live in Kaohsiung. My friend wanted to show his parents back home the city he lived/worked in.

REALLY Great video! makes me home sick of my adopted city (as I'm currently posted overseas for work), I used to think Sydney where I grew up was the best city in the world but little Kaohsiung is just as good if not better!
