Tori Amos re-imagines a personally handpicked collection of songs spanning her entire catalogue with her thirteenth studio album, Gold Dust. Produced by Amos with arrangements by long-time collaborator John Philip Shenale, the new album features reworkings of songs in orchestral settings which Amos recorded with the renowned Metropole Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley. Slated for release in October 2012, Gold Dust is Amos' second recording for Deutsche Grammophon and a natural progression following 2011's classically influenced Night of Hunters. The release will be accompanied by a European orchestral tour.

I hope they decide to make a concert DVD (that will ACTUALLY get released :) or at least audio since so many fans will miss out.

But even if they don't I think this album will be great. If the sonic power of Night of Hunters and the sequential tour are any indication...or the previous performance with the Metropole for that matter.

I am not quite sure what point you are trying to make here. Correct me if I am wrong but did I say Tori didn't have a career before she married her husband? I don;t think I did, feel free to read again. I am well aware of Tori's career and judging by your photo I was following her career before you were born.

One thing I have noticed is that over the years Tori has re-moulded her voice at times to a point where she looses clarity and only die-hard fans can distinguish the lyrics. This album brings together a fraction of her work together with an orchestra but she has brought back every bit of her vocal clarity and that really is the icing on the cake for me. She's an amazing artist and great to see live, this is a stunning album. I can't wait for her next project, whatever that may be.
