My Guile Combos Revamped

Requested by friends.

Note that I am not posing as a pro! I am far from it

Here are the FAQs they ask all the time!

Q:How can you beat us so badly with Guile? He's only got two moves!?!
A:Two special moves, his normal moveset is good. and besides stop jumping at me!

Q: Why don't you super when you play?
A: I barely super cuz it's weak. Guile's EX moves are way better. Two EX somersault = dmg of super, plus just as good priority. But the Super is good for when your enemy is in the air (Ultra would be blocked if they are dropping) and as a reversal when you got an opening. But other than that save your EX meter. Also faster to chip with super than ultra.

Q:Why don't you combo like this when you play?
A: Damage scaling in SFIV. Longer combo, less damage. Also risky, one lil messup and the combo's done.

Q: How come you don't have to charge for 2 secs?
A: Yes I do, I use a technique called pre-charging which is right after I Sonic boom or Somersault I immediately charge for the next one. and also the charge is keep through anything.

Q: For the Ultra reverse I just do my ultra right after my opponent's comes out right?
A: Not exactly. You should start inputting the command just b4 their ultra goes off. Also the timing to reverse each ultra is different, in the ones shown I tried to get as close to the "perfect" range and timing. But I only know the timings for Guile don't know about the others.

Q: I can't quite seem to pull off the Super to Ultra link.
A: Assuming you've successfully inputted it, it depends on which kick you use for the super. Use light kick when you are as close to your opponent as possible. Use medium kick when you slightly further and I don't recommend Heavy kick as you'll have less time to input the ultra cuz you fly higher. Also you have to precharge after the super and start inputting the Ultra just b4 you land. Note that when using medium kick the ultra doesn't seem to come out, try double tapping all the kicks. And you have to be in range for the ultra.

Q:Can you juggle with Super then link the ultra?
A: yes but I'm not sure how. I think if 3 hits or less connects from the super then it's possible

Your combos are nice but i get this feeling that you watched gilleybaba's guile video and basically copied it. If you didn't good for you but they are very similar.

yea well guile doesn;t have many combos. I like in the description I uploaded this cuz my friends wanted to see me do what i can, I strive to be as good as TZW and gilly but i'm faraways. just gotta keep on practicing

practice and lots of it :D. Well so, as you know charge db then dash then go back into db and then uf and all kick.

what allows for it is something called charge buffering where during the dash your charge is held allowing you to dash, charge, dash, charge and the rest is timing.

I play with Guile myself. I also use reverse ultra on everybody i play. Plus I have many tricks I use to beat very good G1 players. My only downfall with Guile is fighting another Guile. My timing is sick with Guile, I beat the crap out of RYU's and I love when I GRAB Sagat players out of their Ultras.

@sakuzenshi if you haven't already found out just start your charge press forward, quickly go back to the original position then do a flash kick movement with the stick and that's it

guile sucks against Seth i use seth all the time and always teleport perfect timing i only lost to guile one time only thing i had to do is keep him away from me thats all it takes to beat him all the time guile cant do nothing from far but to use his sonic boom so he has to come to you.

Lol I am not one of these guys who takes the game so seriously. If someone uses turbo like most people do but don't like to admit it, I could care less. Besides why would Capcom work with madcatz and put their name on these turbo sticks and pads if it was looked down upon. Either way I just like to play. I know I am not that good just want to have fun even though it gets frustrating sometimes. Take it easy
