Set it Straight gets arrested

1/2 of Set it Straight and others getting arrested at Caldwell park in Redding, CA after a Skate Demo / Live show. This was a church sponsored event (though I do not sponsor church), legal, and WITH PERMITS.

FAQ

1) I did not shoot the video.
2) The father didn't try and stop the cops because THEY'RE COPS and he would still be in prison if he tried.
3) As a result of this video, media tenacity by yours truly, and almost 50,000 emails, the Redding Police Department was eventually forced to drop all charges on everyone arrested, issue a formal apology via press conference, and undergo special sensitivity training on how to deal with passive objectors. Haha.

it has nothing to do with skating. no one was arrested for skating. this has to do with the band forgetting to bring their permit and refusing to stop the show after being lawfully ordered. this is an edited video

you are right & the DA refused to persue charges once the facts were presented to him

there was a noise complaint which is why the cops showed up, but after stopping the [legal permit obtained] concert they also evicted all the skaters & bmxrs from the adjacent skatebowl using unreasonable force

the band felt responsible & protested the police action. they were arrested for it as we see

im glad citizens stand up to abusive police, more people should speak out against abuse of power
