I remember when when I picked up Simple Pleasures at a record store in the early 90's. I had never heard of Alison Brown or Alison Krause before, but knew I liked David Grisman, and wanted to hear some banjo. What a pleasant surprise that album turned out to be. It stayed in my CD player for about a year!
Keep it up Alison!

Chick banjo players are cool.

The opening tune does seriously twang of Bela's 'Big Country'. I like the more puristic view of the instruments though. Just heard Allison on Mountain Stage on KXT.org today and had no idea she was out there doing this.
Support public radio because they are a major voice of great artists like this!

Alison and the Quartet, I listend to your concert when you were in Calgary Alberta awhile ago, honestly the most amazing thing I have ever heard. I enjoyed meeting you and John after the show, that personal contact will never be forgotten. Continued sucess , yours in admiration.

Alison Brown quartet is going to be at Castoro cellars July 24.. Sorry I am going to miss them, but if you have a chance... GO......

my 2 cents. You can tell she is a very intilligent person as a result.. the music is very intelligent. I like her music more all the time. I truly appreciate what Bela Fleck has done but he get too far into outer space for me sometimes. This is truly tasteful innovative music that demonstrates the capability of the banjo as a unique instrument not only bluegrass.

right on I'll have to check it out...thanks
I hate dvds that cut into the songs with talk...play a song then talk between songs

This is actually just an EPK. The DVD doesn't have any interruptions.
