I don't even see the point of Sarah's character. She doesn't really contribute to the movie and she's just kind of bland and there so that Jack can unleash his sexy male hormones. I mean couldn't I do that??!! Please?

Well edited, but I don't really understand the pairing. They are foils of eachother, true, but their relationship is pretty much aquaintence bordering friendship throughout the movie.

Of course, I don't really like the film's "Let's make the only non-male character David's sister so Jack can have a girlfriend" thing, so I can't say much on the matter of Romance in "Newsies".
