@mresistenciaviva I believe one of the earliest recorded is the Te Deum Chant which is 5th Century but is derived from an earlier pre-Christian work.

@canis222 This is not true The Church of Christ is us- the ppl and the Church is founded by J Chirst and his apostles. The Church is one truly- the Orthodox, unchanged since His creation in the first century by J Christ. After the Great schism in 11 century the Roman- Catholics are dropped out of the One Catholic and Apostolic church which is the Orthodox

This is what I hear in our monasteries in Romania. This is the true byzantine orthodox music. Only in the Orthodox Churches you hear something like this. The Orthodox Church is the only saving Church!
