HI. Just thought i'd add something that might be of use. The windwave oil quantities are for the open bath / lower legs. They are not the oil levels for the damper units. Hope this helps

I have a 2002 Marzocchi Bomber Z1 Wedge (internal adjustment only). I just bought a new seal kit, and a jug of Golden Spectro 7.5 wt fork oil. I want to change out the seals/wipers AND replace the oil. DO I HAVE TO REMOVE THE FORK FROM THE HEADSET? Or can I simply drain all the oil from the lowers with the two nuts?

7.5 weight...see part 2

Many thanks m8. What kind of oil r u using?

no need to remove the fork from the bike, I only showed this like that as the fork was given to me in it's broken state. I normally leave it in the bike...good luck, it's an easy job and the fork feels so much better afterwards..

You want the fork to be going 25% through it's travel when sitting on bike in your normal riding position . Don't bounce, just sit there. A zip tie loose around the fork leg and pushed down to the seal will show you how far the fork has gone through the travel when you get off. Adjust air pressure until fork sags the right amount.if your fork has a travel of 100mm, sag to be 25mm.Ride down a typical trail keep adding rebound until the fork feels harsh. Back off a bit so it's smooth, job done!

I just serviced my forks. This vid was so helpful, as i wouldn't have done the servicing without you. I probably would have spent £100 on a service when i could have DIY.
Cheers mate, and thanks again
