One of the few moments Hellmuth carries out a strong play in cash games. Hellmuth is a great poker player in NL holdem tourneys. The combination of instincts, yrs playing tourn. and so many dead money players has allowed him to win the WSOP but it does not translate in the cash games. The new breed of cash game players are to unpredictable and he calls off his chips way to much guessing. He has tried to adapt by playing looser but the great players isolate him and take his money.

We need more of these videos like this showing Hellmuth winning...which clearly he does a lot. The videos of him losing are entertaining but they're not a true reflection of the scope of his excellent poker play.

@datu0108 With Hellmuth repping a big hand pre flop against a tight player in matusow, means he has AA,AK,KK,QQ,JJ most of the time. WIth the Q and J on the flop, the only hand mike beats is AK. So he only beats a bluff. He knows phill well and knows he rarely bluffs so decides to lay it down. It was not a bad play at all.
