  • If this was done in 2008, It might be safe to assume you have acquired some know-how about he biz. I am looking to go into web design at byui because I do like it and also it's not short in terms of work. My dream would be to do motion graphics / spfx for movies if I am lucky enough. Do you think a degree in web design would detract from me getting hired for a dream job if I had a good mographics portfolio? anyone else please answer if you have any knowledge as well. Thanks, and really good work

  • @JuicyDBASE hey! Thank you for watching the video and for your kind words. To be very honest with you, I do think if your dream is doing vfx and graphics for motion pictures, a web design degree is not the best way to get there. The backgrounds are somewhat different, and the softwares and technologies you learn are very different. I would suggest searching for a Motion Graphics, 3D Animation, Digital Arts and Design degree, I went to Full Sail, but there are many good schools out there

  • @JuicyDBASE Some of the schools I know have programs to get you into motion graphics / visual effects are in no particular order: Full Sail University, Vancouver Film School (Canada), Academy of Art University, Savannah College or Art and Design, Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Dave School, Supinfocom (France).

  • Hey I am debating to take this program or game art. Do they go into any 3d modeling in your program?

  • @foxbobby78 They do, however is somehow limited. It's by no means the same amount as the Computer Animation program. You only have 2 classes of 3D Studio Max and it involves pretty much only modeling. No hardcore animation or rigging characters or anything like that. Just modeling, lighting, cameras and mechanical animation.
