The Dells have been around as long as Rock ' n Roll. They were there in the 50's, 60's, 70's 80's, 90's and are still out there giving their fans great music and performances. Well here the guys are in 1975 singing their smash hit "Stay In My Corner" from 1968. The magic of the Dells music is that it still sounds good today. Johnny Carter and Marvin Junior are duo leads on this one backed up superbly by Michael McGill, Verne Allison, Chuck Barksdale.

  • Me and a good friend were stuck up in a racist white town in Cali, on the beach. We'd ride through the redwoods at night and listen to this song and other Motown and phili and Atlantic songs and just sit there, riding, listening and feeling so fulfilled in that harsh and racist town and we'd feel alright. And he died recently, and I miss him, and this song makes me think of him, and those times, and how our music, the music of our heritage was our only comfort, along with each other. RIP David.

  • @ddsharper That is a great story. Thank you very much for watching!
