Cutting hay to be chopped for bedding with our very old 489 haybine. It still works ok but it is getting whipped.

    I'm not. I go back and cut the corners at the end on the angle. No miss and the field can be easily raked after. Square corners are useless.

  • Yes.  That was dry chopped and on the floor of the barn the very next day.

  • Square corners are next to impossible to rake so why bother? I've never plugged a haybine cutting corners.
