New Holland TS130a cutting hay

Cutting hay to be chopped for bedding with our very old 489 haybine. It still works ok but it is getting whipped.

Why are you making sutc mes of the corners

I'm not. I go back and cut the corners at the end on the angle. No miss and the field can be easily raked after. Square corners are useless.

That looks like pretty decent feed, are you really making it into bedding?

Yes.  That was dry chopped and on the floor of the barn the very next day.

Square corners are next to impossible to rake so why bother? I've never plugged a haybine cutting corners.

square corners may be a pain to do but can you afford to waste all the hay you leave? I can't, use a disc mower instead>

oh u need round nah we dont do the big round ones. just the 50lb or 45 lb square bales.
