Everything he says is the truth until he gets to his vision of the future. It's a POSSIBLE future. Understandably after his years of seeing the evil of the corporate state he hasn't any hope. But we can hear his truth about our current state and know that his vision of the future is darkened by literally seeing too much. I don't mean any disrespect but it's a bit like Frodo and the ring. He's just trying to do all he can until the end. A better future is possible for us.
SUNY Binghamton blows groceries we used to say when my friend was an undergrad there in 1982 till he finally got smart and moved to Maine! Nevertheless, does Hedges ever laugh or show satire?
@soundmoneyfan You are so correct about the large scale war; your realistic. It is nice to meet someone whom is not afraid to tell the Empire that is "wearing no clothes." The facts are the facts and reasonable objective analysis must be faced by the those whom are brave enough to deal with reality.
you don't have to agree with his leftist solutions, but to deny the truth of his analysis is to deny reality. his analysis is the same as us libertarians. if we as a country could agree with what is wrong with us we could have a real debate about solutions. instead most people see the debate as Obama vs. Glenn Beck and corporatism and the corporate/warfare state lives on. nothing will change and when the real collapse comes, they will take us all to a lagre scale war.
It's coming to a country near you.

We can take Hedges' truth and use it to fuel our efforts to reach out to each other rather than divide against each other in fear.
