Magic is a seventeen year old deaf female Chow Chow who was brought into the Baldwin Park shelter on May 17th after her former owner died, and his daughter told the shelter she "didn't need no dog". Usually this is a death sentence for a senior citizen, but through the miracle of networking and a huge tip of the hat to Patricia Land, Molly's Mutts & Meows, and Animal Alliance, an angel by the name of Joe Radford of the Pilots'n Paws Organization flew his private plane from Glendale Arizona to El Monte, the land of the stray dog, to take this wonderful girl to finish her life in comfort and love in Arizona!

  • Almost a year now since Joe went missing.

May you always know that you were loved by everyone in the animal rescue community. Your devotion to saving these animals will always be cherished. Thank you Pilot Joe for your amazing service. Fly high with the precious animals that you loved so much.

  • my heart just cries when I think of Pilot Joe. There is such a gaping hole in the rescue community without him and his pretty plane he was so proud of building.

I am so happy that Magic had the opportunity to meet such a wonderful man
