AAAA.291340Z APR 2008 Well MI5, MI6, GCHQ, DIS. Are all looking out for spies, advertisments in the press, on the internet and even posted on the buses in adverts....Hold it !!.. What was it Compton Mackenzie once said `The whole point of a Secret Service is that it should be secret`. Well when I here of 20,000 budding recruits for MI5 splashed all over the Wireless, Television, Newspapers....Where is the secrecy ?? I suppose I had better carry on...The first book is John le Carre`s `Smileys People` a fiction book set during the Cold War..Early in the book a General Valdimir has defected from Russia and is living in Westbourne Terrace, Paddington W2 [Just up the road] At the back of Paddington Station W2....Now for all the fans that think spying is James Bond !! Well the General is murdered....to spill the beans will give the game away for the rest of the story...The other book is Next Stop Execution by an Ex KGB Spy Oleg Gordievsky...The present Russian Government has by all accounts threated him and he defected years ago...Thats what it is all about a serious dangerous game..!! Do you still want to be a spy ??....Do not apply to me I told you where the advertisements are...The music is from CHRISTOPH WILLIBALD RITTER VON GLUCK 1714-1787 part of Alceste :- Overture.......AR.
