  • Hi. What is the antenna up to the steppir? 73

  • Looking at the Video near the end, he is about 54 wavering to 56 on the Back. So lets use 55 as average. On the front he is 59 +15db.

    So (4 S-units) X (6bd) + 15db = 39db Front to Back. Pretty much exactly the 40db that steppir claims.

  • 6db per S unit is correct. Assuming meter is calibrated correctly.

  • He was 59+10dB forward and S4/5 back. But noise background pedestal was S3/4 forward and S1 back.

    I don't agree with assuming 3dB per S unit.

    For instance, TS570DG has 6dB per S unit from S5 to S9 and 3dB/Sunit at S<5

  • assuming 3 dB per s unit he was s9 then s4-5 so it only 13.5 dB approx f-b thats not great is it espically for a 4 element
