The ending to Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. Unfortunately I didn't record some events between the end of the final battle and the beginning of the proper ending; I'll need to do that the next time I replay the last battle. Also, during the credits... the music stops about halfway through. I don't know if that's intentional or if it's the fault of the emulator I'm playing on to record the video. =(

Also, please don't clog the comments with requests for the full game. It's not hard to find, and if you do, please continue buying the chapters as well to support future translations of titles like this!

  • whats the purpose of the finished game at the end of the game?after i beat it i went back into it and could'nt find anything new to do.and it would'nt let u load it into any other story whats the purpose anybody know?

  • There doesn't seem to be a purpose, honestly... I'm really not sure why they did it, it doesn't seem to unlock anything. o_O

  • question to anyone who knows...do I have to buy the side stories of the characters to have access to the entire game and thus, see this ending? Cuz I just got this on WiiWare and about two hours into it. Just wondering if i have to save up some Wii points.

  • At the minimum you have to buy the first and last chapters, I believe. I really strongly suggest getting them all though if you have the money/time, or else you'll miss out on a ton of story, extra characters (you only get the main cast of FF4 if you don't play any of the chapters), and items/levels.

  • Mid? So is the Cid in FF5 the same as the Cid in FF4 and AY?

  • I doubt it, probably just the same name. :O

  • Why was Tsukinowa like "good for you, Porom"? Was he like a fucking stalker or sumtin?

  • @IncredibleFulk1 But how many of them have Mids as relatives?

  • @ff2paladin No they arn't. Every final Fantasy game game has a Cid.

  • @ff2paladin By no means! There's been a Cid in Every FF game. Besides, you think the FF4 Cid would turn into a boring snob like the FF5 Cid?

  • @damienfeb01 How exactly does that explain the reappearance of Mid?

  • Don't be too sure. The world of FF5 looked a lot like the world of FF4, and Cid did look significantly older in 5. They could be the same person, especially seeing Mid as a little boy in this clip.
