No child should die of diabetes. More than 75,000 children under 14 get type 1 diabetes every year.

While in developed countries, children with type 1 diabetes can lead full, productive lives, in developing countiries those without access to insulin and proper medical care can die within a year.

Almost a century after the discovery of insulin, it is unacceptable that this life-sustaining drug is not accessible to all those who require it to live.
