First of all: I do whatever I want, when I see such a comment being a top comment I can't resist. Secondly: modern pop punk bands are mostly influenced by Blink, not by the bands you mentioned. It all started with them, but music evolves. Still, at first sight, your comment looks like it's directed more at Blink than at the kid's comment. Also, pop punk is rooted in bands like The Vandals and Face to Face; Blink didn't create pop punk. I was directing my comment at the kid's grammatically incorrect and dumb comment, not Blink.
