i can play low notes and a little higher but when my dad first tried it he could only play high notes...wtf? and i cant, how do you do that!!???!?

I'm confused... I can play the lowest note without problems, but i can make it to the high octave of my initial note, and i have busted my ass off and still can't. Maybe wrong mouthpiece? It reads '7C' I have mid sized lips... lol is there anything else I need to know?

How to hell did you get such high notes if you had never played?
Were not actually that high and you just blow really hard or what?
Because I started on a low C..
After 3 years of just school playing I'm at about a High E-F

Great idea for a video. I too am learning the trumpet, i'm at about the same stage as you. Maybe when you've learned stuff you can post it on here. Things like how to tune the instrument, how to 'tounge' notes and stuff. I've searched and i can't find ANY trumpet instructional videos on youtube.
