these guys were just great and well traveled. Pity music didn't pay that well then otherwise they wouldn't have died paupers

Saw them in November 1987. I miss them a lot.

I used to see the Bhundu Boys a lot, they were a wonderful live band. The album was a disappointment, but a rectifiable one I always thought. I seem to remember an interview with Biggie saying they planned to do things differently in later recordings, but I guess that didn't happen. One of the great losses to music. Thanks for uploading.

please don't apologize for the poor quality of the video. What you possess is a priceless video of one of Zimbabwe's best musical ensemble....Thanks for posting it....

They saved me from suicide.
Sorry things didn't go so well the other way round

I heard these guys in Ireland years ago, they were great. Was talking to them after the gig really down to earth

Iwe! inga wani newewo wakamuti enigmatic!
I think they asked Biggie to leave because he spearheaded the ill-fated move to mix Zim-styles with more western-styles once they were based in UK. But the UK crown didn't like the new style, neither did Zimbabwe, so they blamed him.

The biggest mistake, I believe, was to fire Biggie Tembo, the enigmatic vocalist. We used to refer to the band as ''Biggie Tembo and the Bhundu Boys.'' If they had stayed with Biggie I believe this band could have been playing to this day and taking care of the families of the band members who died. In fairness they could have replaced the drummer, the bassist, etc without losing the fluidity in the teamr. These guys could have been multi millionaires, their families are destitutes.
