On October 24th 2008 teams of international students will start on an energy-fuelled pan-European adventure Red Bull CAN you make it?! In teams of three you will set off from Madrid, Rome, Budapest, Berlin or Manchester with the aim of reaching the final destination, Paris, before 18:00 hours on October 31st 2008. You and your team will be completely free to choose both your route and your preferred means of transport en route to the French capital. So what's the catch? Upon arrival at the starting-points listed above you will be relieved of life-saving essentials such as cash, credit cards and mobile phones and, in exchange, receive a designated number of cans of Red Bull. With nothing more than a map and your Red Bull ration, you will set off on a journey of discovery across the European continent. Along the way you will have to pass dozens of designated checkpoints, where you will have the chance to top up your valuable supplies of Red Bull on the way to reaching the finishing line in Paris. The winner will be decided not according to the fastest travelling time, but using a points system comprising the number of checkpoints passed, number of kilometres travelled and the number of votes received via Internet.
