Tontin learning to play!!

So, we have a one year old lab who is our foster "therapy dog" as we like to call him. Whenever we bring in a beaten down and batter foster, Chewbacca is always the one that teaches them how to play, how to chew on toys, how to lay on pet beds, and how to run around the yard. This video is the very first time that Tontin actually interacted with Chewy and didn't run away from him and hide! He also went and got a toy on his own!! This is such a BIG deal - I'm not sure if anyone can really understand unless they live here and see how shy and scared he was when he first got here. He wouldn't get near the other dogs, definitely wouldn't get in a crate and didn't understand toys and playing :'( So, this is truly AWESOME to see and we're thrilled we caught it on video!

@smooch72 - the best thing ever is that he has been adopted by a WONDERFUL family who absolutely adores him! They are working with him constantly to get him used to the big wide world out there! he is already a different dog,,,he seems more relaxed and defiatly happy,it will work out for the best for him,,thank you for taking him in.

@bcelliot - we consider ourselves lucky to foster him. He's a real sweetheart, a treasure to have in our home and lives. He is definitely becoming happier day by day - which is so great to see :)

@TheSierrawoman - No, not angels, just simply dog lovers and couldn't stand to see his pain :'( We feel lucky to be able to have in our home, even if it is for a short amount of time, we're just glad we can help prepare him for his new "happily ever after".

You guys are ANGELS!!! REAL ANGELS in today's world!!! TY. Isn't amazing that Tontin didn't know how to play and he is still a puppy himself!!! Those people (his old owners) did him a GREAT SERVICE by dumping him off at the shelter....and as I mentioned your are the TRUE ANGELS! He looks VERY HAPPY and VERY LOVED!
