The Sri Lanka Air Force which made a massive contribution to the operation of ridding the country of terrorism have arrayed themselves to fulfil another obligation.
The Air Force has come forward to extend facilities to civilians who experienced enormous difficulties under LTTE tyranny. It is engaged in the process of meeting the basics of the civilians who have taken shelter in Welfare Villages. The Air Force Medical Unit is making another vital contribution assisting the civilians of the Welfare Village in Settikulam.

Air Force Medical Officer Air Commodore Amunugama said the civilians who had been liberated from terrorism should be protected to assure a real meaning to the victory achieved. It is important that they be safeguarded.

The civilians have now taken to earning their living and are leading a happy life after being tormented by terrorism for 30 years. The encouragement extended by the Government to them has become a strength.
