  • im staying there on the 22nd of febuary, i hope its not that bad!!!

  • Naw, Ask for a renevated room, they look alot better from the pics on Tripadvisor..

  • aufo8mycow, I guess You expected too much for what you paid for. Obiously the room you stayed was for a budged traveler like you.

So, You have to pay more money to stay better rooms.

  • I wish I had the chance to leave.....But I was there with a travel group. So I couldent leave...:(

  • Before we used the bathroom...:P

  • my gf and me were in room 2406 and we had no problem. For that cheap prices and the very good location of that New Yorker Hotel we were happy to rent a room there. Next time if i fly to NY i ll take the same hotel! Mike/Austria

  • Yeah, I was highly scarastic in that vid....we were just dissapointed about how dirty the carpit in the room and the common areas was, and the fact that our bathroom smelled really bad. It wasent too bad I guess...our last night there we all agreed that it wasent that bad, unfortunally this is the only vid of the room I made :P

  • We stayed at the New Yorker last week 3/30/10 and it was awsome, we loved it. Clean room with view of Empire State Building, 28th floor. Everything was great and we can't wait to stay there again.

  • Are you out of the closet yet?

  • I spent a night there last June. Arrived with no prior notice. The staff at the reception was very polite. The only accomodation available was suites on the top floor, and they let me have one at the lowest published price. The rooms were quite small, but the view from their windows was frankly worth the expence!

The temp exclusive breakfast area for the perm residents and the top floors' guests could be much improved. The old banquet hall needs a touch-up or two. Altogether a nice hotel.

  • Sorry, but the video quality leaves a lot to be desired.

  • xDD

  • throw your man a a few bucks at reception and youll get a nice room. i mean c'mon it makes sense this is a fuckin hotel in the middle of NYC!!!!!!!!!

  • i loved staying at the new yorker!

  • I couldn't leave before I had already paid upfront that was £845 or $1700 for 5 nights there. I had the renovated room, but that was still shit. And why do the maids feel the need to tidy your room so fricking early. I was in New York this month, in a different hotel, and they didnt come in till 2pm. Although even this hotel was crap.

  • I stayed there in April, in one of there renevated rooms. So I get there after an 8 hour flight, and the guy at reception (some old dude) looks at me asif to say what the heck do I want. And how dare I want say I have booked a room here. That annoyed me really, as there is no need to be rude. Although the security guys seemed nice and polite, maybe they should teach the reception staff manors.

  • OMG YOU SERIOUS!!! Me and my mum are planning a trip there next year! It looks so nice in the travel guide. Anyone who knows other nice cheap hotels near mid-town please contact me! ^-^
