I also have another question. I recently bought a bass so I'm kind of a noob at it but what techniques are you using in the super mario underground theme? i'm familiar with slapping and popping but are you just slapping open strings or muting them or what?

@seansayssup Well the chord progression stays the same, but the melody I always improv.

That is the gist of the left hand. For the tapping parts I stick to the 12th 14th and 16th frets of the D and G strings (when the left hand is on the A string) and the same frets of the D and A strings (when the left hand is on the E string). From there just kind of ad lib it.
