@armydray13 They were just as reliable but they required more maintenance. On the other hand they were more comfortable, roomier, and better looking (in my opinion) than cars are today.
The 1950 Ford was an infinitely better car than the 1949 even though at first glance they appear the same. Yes, Ford gussied up some of the trim including the hood ornament and installed push button doors, but it was the drive train that made the difference. The 1950 Ford transmission made all the difference. It was smooth as cream, unlike the whiney and difficult shifting 1949. Thanks for the posting.
