@floatingcompassmedia - No, Christians are a political movement. Atheists want people to vote based on facts and issues, not religion. I don't live in the USA (I'm an American, but I left for Europe where people aren't a bunch of redneck religious nuts). @HeatherSpoonheim - I've tried that argument with these cretins before. Their answer is that they know their god is the right one because he speaks directly to them, or that they "feel it in their heart" - and the concept that they were raised in a Christian environment, and that is why they chose that particular deity is somehow beyond their mental grasp. I've spent time with Asmat natives in New Guinea (formerly cannibals) and THEY make more sense than Christians!

@uhetsberger - Evolution is a logical scientific theory with a mountain of supporting evidence. There is hardly a scientist in the entire world who doubts evolutionary theory. Also the word "theory" in science does not mean the same thing it means in ordinary English. It means a well founded logical hypothesis that has withstood the test of time and vast amounts of research. If this comes as a surprise to you, then get an education.

@TheMrgoku1985 Please be specific. Are you an ancestral Jew (lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob)?

Or just taught Jewish religious beliefs? Old Testament only? Talmud? Kabballah? Just curious.

I am also curious (assuming you were Orthodox): what made you turn your back on Jehovah? The entire Jewish existence is based, grounded, and relies on Biblical testimonies and principals (Torah, prophets, etc.) Even the homeland of Israel, and the heritage COMES FROM THE BIBLE.

@CAUGHTUPALIVE1 - to "destroy faith" in unsound and irrational ideas is to promote science and reasoning. In America the number of atheists born before 1945 (those still alive) are less than 5%. Among those before 1975, there are 10%. Among those born after 1975, there are now 19% who define themselves as atheists. Do the math and you'll see that atheists will be the majority in two more generations, just as they already are the majority in other countries (Sweden, Finland, etc.)
