In "Budapest to Gettysburg" acclaimed historian Gabor Boritt reluctantly explores a past he has refused to study: his own. His filmmaker son Jake accompanies Gabor as he returns to Hungary. In a youth terrorized by the tyranny of Hitler and Stalin he discovers the roots of his ground breaking work on Lincoln, the central pillar of American democracy.

  • I was a student of your father at Gettysburg. I am very interested in seeing the movie. When can we expect it on DVD? Thanks!

  • I attended the premiere of "Budapest to Gettysburg" last night at the Majestic Theater in Gettysburg. It is a moving and beautiful film, and a wonderful tribute from a son to his father, a remarkable person whom I am very privileged to know.

  • austria still waits for the one world order before the oligarchs dye. dont be fooled or distracted. reality t.v. will be shown soon.

  • I had the honor of visiting Budapest not long ago. A beautiful city, a wonderful country full of such history...I cannot wait to return and walk across the bridges and along the Danube. Of all the places I have traveled, Hungary has been my absolute favorite so far.
