I use the blur tool after doing that to smooth it all out

You "say" you are using that image as a wallpaper for your screen, I roll my eyes as i say, whatever! But, terrible job on cloning. My 7 yr old niece can do a better job than that.

I think when you start to manipulate somebody else's images you are stealing them.

It isn't even "quick and dirty", it's just useless. Even in the easy example picture, the sky and the reflections in the water are totally fucked up by an unqualified use of Photoshop's healing tool.
You can easily imagine what will happen when you try to remove a watermark from parts of pictures that contain great details, e. g. faces etc.
Apart from that: watermarks are there for a reason, not just to piss people off,
Just respect other photographers' work!

i have this pic of a hindu man it has a deviantarte watermark
it will work but you can see the watermark is still there
and in some spots it took parts of his necklace and some bits of the cloth hanging from the guys turban
that stupid logo covers 80 percent of the guys chest
this didnt work at all for the photo

That looks awful.
I realise this was made before Content Aware was available but the quality of these heals are awful.
