The porpouse of this EXPeriment is to show the physics involved in the impact between a drawing cueball and an object ball hitted hard with almost no cut-angle.
The video shows amazing phenomena. The backward rotation of the cueball, during the impact momentum, has the power to launch the onject ball, lifting it from the cloth.
In the same impact momentum the tremendous amount of power transfered to the object ball, smashes the cueball on the slate so hard to make it jump too.
The Overall physics involved in this particular shot reveals the origin of a problem well known by the players of international billiard: the object ball rail jump.
Carom and pin's players know that when the an object ball pretty near to the rail is hitted hard, with a drawing effect and no cut angle, it will jump after the rail impact.
Most players believe that this phenomenon is caused by the rail itself, trough an overcompression of the rubber.
As this video clearly prove, this a wrong belief.
The balls used for the EXPeriment are 61,5mm Super Aramith Pro Cup, the billiard table is an International billiard with Gorina M cloth and Artemis Carom Tournament cushion.

Bravo Ecio. Puoi fare lo stesso video con differenti colpi (in testa, in pancia, retrocesso)?
