Slap bass jam - fun(k) with the QTron - EHX

Messing around a bit on the bass, I was having some fun with my Qtron envelope filter :) I love that effect, maket it sound much more fonky.

I let the camera record for like 10 minutes and saved the licks that were not all bad...well, still mistakes all over the place lol, but i had fun :)

one question only... i got a Q-Tron+ too, but... it looses many enough low frequenxy notes... especially when im in drop d tuning... do you also have that problem??

Well it depends on the settings you use, I usually have the gain pretty low to give it a more steady tone. With more gain the effect becomes more sensitive to the finger/slap attack on the strings.

@impulsoprog Hi, the bass is a Fernandes FAB170. It is a series 1 alembic copy made in '79. They are pretty rare basses, only a small amount of them were made. Currently there is one for sale on the Japanese yahoo auction site if your interested :)
