The same video as before but filmed on the other side of the crossing and the train is travelling the other way.
A FGW class 165 arrives at Furze Platt satation in north Maidenhead heading for Bourne End than Marlow. This train was filmed on the Maidenhead-Marlow line.

  • That's better, still a tiny bit shaky, but better.

    Why did the barriers go up when the train hadn't even cleared the crossing?

  • Its always done that, i think its because the sensors in the track that activate the crossing are too close to the actual crossing.

  • I think so too. The gates normally open about ten seconds after the train has finish crossing over the road.

  • @Welwyn22 Some Half barrier level crossings are operated by a timer. Once the timer has been set no matter where the train is, the barrier's go up. Give network rail a call. They'll come and sort it out!
